Amanda & Dan's Elegant, Rainy Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain Wedding Day

Amanda & Dan had an absolutely gorgeous sunny engagement session last year and today I’m sharing a handful of favorites from their beautiful rainy day wedding! It was nothing short of wonderful. An elegant, classic affair that fit the couple so beautifully and every detail was stunning. This wedding was the start of a big shift in my work and I can’t wait to continue to share the weddings we’ve documented since this one.

Amanda & Dan are the sweetest couple and regardless of the rain on their wedding day, they were absolute gems to be around. Amanda radiates kindness and grace with the poise of literal royalty. Dan is gentle, gracious, the love he has for Amanda is just beyond. Despite the rain, their focus stayed on each other and they didn’t let it dampen a thing. They were surrounded by a group of people who feircly loved them and it was so fun to watch this community of people support and uplift this amazing couple on their wedding day.

The sun peeked in and out from behind the clouds throughout the afternoon, but we managed to capture some sunlight in the orange groves at the Ritz Carlton when Amanda & Dan saw each other for the first time. Shortly after, the sky turned gray and rain sprinkled down just as we began taking wedding party photos. We snapped a few photos in the rain, then quickly tucked inside. Amanda and Dan gracefully adapted and agreed to move the ceremony indoors. Quick action by Atelier de LaFleur ensured that Amanda & Dan still had a beautiful indoor ceremony and it turned out so lovely. Heartfelt vows were exchanged that had the entire room in tears one moment and full of laughter the next.

The reception was pure magic, enveloped in a warm candlelit glow. The rest of the night unfolded beautifully and everything was perfect.
